Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Grant MacDonald and Dr. Sean Carr are experienced optometrists who have dedicated their careers to delivering top-notch ocular care to their patients. They take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options, and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, they encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing, and treating potential vision problems.

Dr. Grant MacDonald

Dr. MacDonald has been involved in the optical industry since 1987. Prior to graduating Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry Cum Laude in 1996, he practiced as a licensed optician and contact lens master in London and Wallaceburg, Ontario, Canada. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at the University of Western Ontario and subsequently completed opticianry training at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario.

Dr. MacDonald has practiced in Georgia since 1996 and has extensive experience in the treatment and management of ocular disease, including glaucoma. It is Dr. MacDonald's philosophy to treat each and every patient he encounters as if they were his own family member, giving everyone the full and complete attention they deserve.

“Our patients are always amazed at the level of care and service they receive at our office. “Big-box” and “franchise opticals” just can't offer the same quality of service, which is what distinguishes our practice from so many others.”

Dr. Sean Carr

Dr. Carr grew up in a small town outside of Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station, where he received a B.S. in Biology. After completing post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Houston, he attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, where he received a B.S. in Visual Science and his Doctorate in Optometry. Dr. Carr has called Georgia “home” since 1997, when he began practicing here in Newnan.

“I grew up in a small South Texas town of less than 2,000 people where my grandfather was the town's medical doctor. He knew his patients and their families as friends. Sometimes we get so involved in the treatment of eyes that we forget about the person who holds them in her head. My approach to patient care is much the same as his. I hope he would have agreed.”
